The second season of the show was aired in 1988 - 1989.
Cutting it Close
(October 14, 1988)
While playing "beauty salon," Stephanie mistakenly
cuts Jesse's hair. Jesse gets upset and so Stephanie feels
guilty. In order for Jesse to make his hair look good, he
had to get it cut. While on his motorcycle, he gets into an
accident and breaks both of his arms. He comes home and he
tries to do stuff on his own, but it gets very complicated.
He finally admits that he needs help, and so everyone chips
in, except for Stephanie. At the end of the episode, Jesse
has a conversation with Stephanie and apologizes.
In the opening for Full House of season one, John Stamos'
hair is cut off. It could be explained that they wrap-up season
one and then went on to filming season two. So a tiny part
of season two's clip was edited into the opening sequence
of season and remained there.
Actually I made a mistake, in the syndicated credits, part
of season 2's credits is edited in syndication
Bad hair day. Beautician-to-be Stephanie cuts Jesse's hair.
Good thing she didn't try an appendectomy.
Tanner vs. Gibbler
(October 21, 1988)
Danny gets a co-host (Rebecca Donaldson) and a spot on "Wake
Up San Francisco".
Do fries come with that? A birthday-party-gone-wrong ends
with Kimmy calling D.J. a geekburger.
It's Not My Job
(October 28, 1988)
Jesse decides to leave the family extermination business
to focus on his music, much to the disappointment of his father.
Jesse chooses music over the family exterminating business,
a career move that really bugs his father.
D.J.'s Very First Horse
(November 4, 1988)
D.J. gets a horse and goes to great lengths to hide the fact
from Danny, but it backfires. She's also lies to Danny about
where she been going after school, and is punished.
Danny Finds it's easy to just say "neigh" when
D.J. bring home a new pet: a horse.
Jingle Hell
(November 11, 1988)
When Jesse and Joey pitch an advertising jingle to prospective
clients, they discover that their styles are less then harmonious.
Jesse writes music. Joey writes jokes. So they're a natural
team to write advertising jingles, right? Well...
Beach Boy Bingo
(November 18, 1988)
D.J. wins a "Beach Boys" radio contest, but can't
decide who to take with her.
Fun, fun, fun! Lucky D.J. wins a "dream night"
with the Beach Boys - but can only bring one guest.
Joey Gets Tough
(November 25, 1988)
Joey grounds D.J. after she forgets to call and say she's
going to be late.
Nice try. Mr. Nice Guy. Joey, usually a pushover, lays down
the law when D.J. comes home late.
Triple Date
(December 9, 1988)
Danny arranges a date night for himself, Jesse, and Joey,
and is surprised to discover that his date once had a relationship
with Jesse.
While buying broccoli, Danny is smiten with a fellow shopper
- who turns out to be Jesse's old flame.
Our Very First Christmas Show
(December 16, 1988)
The gang gets snowed in at the airport on a Tanner Family
Reunion trip to Colorado.
Blue Christmas. The family jets off for a Colorado holiday,
but a blizzard grounds them en route.
Middle Age Crazy
(January 6, 1989)
Stephanie feels the frustration and loneliness of being the
middle child.
She's either too young or too old. Middle-child Stephanie
thinks her sisters get all the attention.
A Little Romance
(January 13, 1989)
D.J. is broken-hearted when the boy she has a crush on (played
by the late Jonathan Brandis) tosses her aside for another
girl. The boys take part in a bachelor auction.
While the guys flutter hearts at a charity bachelor auction,
D.J. experiences her first broken heart.
Fogged In
(January 20, 1989)
When D.J. and Kimmy tape over Jesse and Joey's radio jingle,
Jesse loses his temper. He then apologizes by buying D.J.
a drum set. Jesse's parents fight and move into the house.
The extended theme is played.
The full house is full of cross Katsopolises when Jesse's
bickering parents are fogged in for the night.
Working Mothers
(February 3, 1989)
Jesse and Joey get jobs at an advertising agency, leaving
Danny and the girls in a panic.
Quick! Call Mary Poppins! Joey and Jesse have a shot at full-time
jobs - but who will look after the girls?
Little Shop of Sweaters
(February 10, 1989)
When D.J.'s $80 sweater gets ruined, she tries to go buy
a new one. But, it's too expensive. So, Stephanie takes one
thinking the "Buy Now - Pay Later" meant she could
take the sweater, and pay for it later. But, she gets in trouble
upon returning to the store.
D.J. in a sweat after her sweater, a Valentine's gift from
Danny, is mangled by the school lawnmower.
Pal Joey
(February 17, 1989)
When Danny feels that Joey has no time for him, the two recall
when they first met. D.J. helps Stephanie's boyfriend, Harry,
with math and he falls in love with her. This makes Stephanie
very angry.
Buddy, buddy. New pals and business partners Jesse and Joey
make Danny feel like the odd man out.
Baby Love
(February 24, 1989)
Michelle's is very upset when her friend and Rebecca's nephew
Howie, goes back home to Nebraska.
The man that got away. Michelle's crying the blues when her
playmate Howie goes home to Nebraska.
El Problema Grande de D.J.
(March 10, 1989)
When D.J. gets a D in Spanish, Danny goes and talks to D.J.'s
teacher, only to find he likes her . Michelle tries for a
marshmallow commercial but fails when she rehearses too much.
D.J.'s "D" in spanish sends Danny to confront her
teacher, who turns out to be a fan...and a cutie.
Goodbye, Mr. Bear
(March 24, 1989)
In this episode we first see the Annual Spring Cleaning (If
Full House ran today, Danny could be considered Monk's evil
twin). But disaster looms when Mr. Bear turns up missing,
and Stephanie goes into hysterics when Joey worries her treasured
companion might have been accidentally given away!
Later we learn why Mr. Bear is so precious: He was the last
gift Stephanie received from her mother, on the day she came
home from the hospital with baby Michelle. This happy memory
is shared with us through Danny's home movies. It turned out
that Michelle had hidden Mr. Bear inside a bench the whole
time, making sure the Goodwill guys didn't take him.
Put him on the endangered species list! Mr. Bear, Stephanie's
beloved stuffed animal, goes missing.
Blast from the Past
(April 7, 1989)
Joey gets an out-of-the-blue call from his college girlfriend
Patty, who he meets with despite Danny's Mexican-hat-dance-accompanied
warnings about getting his heart broken again. The old issues
are resolved, but could this past relationship have a future?
Meanwhile, D.J. and Stephanie have a rough night when Kimmy's
attempt at magic goes awry! How can they escape without making
Gibbler disappear?
Lover, come back to me. The girl who dumped Joey in college
tries to rekindle their romance.
I'm There for You, Babe
(April 14, 1989)
Jesse is going crazy with everything that is going on at
home. He is so confused that he double books his band, so
the gang offers to act as the band. When the music critic
gives them a bad review, Jesse is devastated.
D.J. on drums, Kimmy on keyboard. Everyone pitches in when
Jesse's band doesn't show up for a gig.
Luck Be a Lady, Part One
(April 28, 1989)
The gang all go to Lake Tahoe, for a Wake Up, San Francisco!
special at the Fabulous Ali Baba Hotel and Casino. While they
are there, Rebecca tells Jesse that she loves him. Jesse feels
that way too. They decide to get married.
Beautiful Lake Tahoe - it's the perfect spot for Jesse to
pop the question to Rebecca.
Luck Be a Lady, Part Two
(May 5, 1989)
Rebecca gets cold feet and leaves Jesse standing at the altar.
The bride, the groom, the ring....and the voice of doom.
Danny tries to stop the wedding.
