The second season of the show was aired in 1988 - 1989.

Cutting it Close
(October 14, 1988)

While playing "beauty salon," Stephanie mistakenly cuts Jesse's hair. Jesse gets upset and so Stephanie feels guilty. In order for Jesse to make his hair look good, he had to get it cut. He finally admits that he needs help, and so everyone chips in, except for Stephanie. At the end of the episode, Jesse has a conversation with Stephanie and apologizes.

In the opening for Full House of season one, John Stamos' hair is cut off. It could be explained that they wrap-up season one and then went on to filming season two. So a tiny part of season two's clip was edited into the opening sequence of season and remained there.

Actually I made a mistake, in the syndicated credits, part of season 2's credits is edited in syndication
