This is just a brief moment where Naruto gets trained under
Ebisu, a Tokubetsu Jonin for elite training, who previously
was the sensei of Konohamaru.
The preliminaries have just ended, and Naruto realizes that
all the remaining opponents are very powerful, especially
Gaara, Shino, and Sasuke. Naruto rushes to Kakashi, wanting
Kakashi to train him. Kakashi refuses, leading Naruto to suspect
Kakashi's favoring Sasuke. Kakashi already realized that such
a confrontation would occur, so he has arranged for Ebisu
to become Naruto's trainer, stating that Ebisu may be a better
teacher than Kakashi.
Ebisu was able to prevent Naruto from mentioning anything
embarrassing to Kakashi, but Naruto still does not believe
Ebisu is stronger than he is. To prove himself, Ebisu decides
to challenge Naruto, where he must catch Naruto.
Naruto thinks it would be a breeze, but Ebisu was able to
surpass Naruto in speed, avoid a Henge (and part Sexy Technique),
and catch all of Naruto's shadow clones. Naruto finally tries
to fight Ebisu, but was too tired, and reluctantly lets Ebisu
become his sensei.
Ebisu begins Naruto's training by walking on water. Naruto
learns very quickly, getting the trick after only a few hours.
Ebisu finally realizes that Naruto is more than just a demon
fox, but his reverie is interrupted by Naruto, who spots an
open pervert peeking at the women's bath. Ebisu tries to attack,
but gets knocked out by a large Toad summoned by the pervert.
Trivia
It is explained that walking on the tree emphasizes chakra
control, but walking on water emphasizes continuously putting
out a steady stream of chakra.
Ebisu remarks that Naruto's stamina is extremely high, possibly
linked to the demon fox. However, this is without actually
using the demon fox's power, leading a conclusion that even
by himself, Naruto has an extremely high level of stamina.
The billboard Naruto Uzumaki used his Sexy Technique as a
disguise from Ebisu showed the picture of the book Kakashi
Hatake reads.
