Plot
All the Genins
realize that the next day is when their training ends, and
the application starts. The people in Konoha are also very
excited toward the next day, mostly because they want to see
Hyuga Neji and Uchiha Sasuke fight.
Naruto
is treated to a big meal of Ramen with lots of meat in it,
all a gift from the store owner to give Naruto energy to fight
well the next day. Naruto is extremely nervous, and did not
really get a good night's sleep.
The next
day, feudal lords from all over the land arrive. Naruto goes
to the training area where he underwent the bell test, and
finds Hinata there. Hinata tells Naruto that she is extremely
pleased about Naruto cheering her during her fight with Neji,
which helped her gain more self-confidence. Naruto also tells
Hinata that he finds her weird, but he likes her. However,
their conversation is cut short when fireworks are sounded,
and Naruto realizes that he is late.
Konohamaru
tries to help Naruto by giving shortcuts, but his shortcuts
make the journey even worse. Finally, Konohamaru tries to
hitch Naruto a ride on a bull, but they get upset and start
chasing Naruto all over town. Naruto finally gets into the
stadium, with bulls trailing him, but they were sent away
by the ninja guarding the stadium.
