Manga Arc: Return of Itachi
Sharingan vs Sharingan! (Japanese: ???VS???!!, - Sharingan
tai Sharingan!!) is episode 82 of the anime series Naruto.
The episode's storyline is from the Return of Itachi manga
arc. It deals with the battle between Kakashi and Itachi.
[edit]
Plot
Kakashi had just arrived to help out Kurenai and Asuma. Kakashi
has no problem against Kisame, who is surprised that another
person has the Sharingan as well. Itachi decides that playing
is over, and he needs to end the battle quickly before reinforcements
come.
Kakashi tells Asuma and Kurenai to close their eyes, since
they could not resist Itachi's Sharingan. Itachi, however,
dismisses the idea that Kakashi could completely resist the
Mangekyo Sharingan, and uses Tsukoyomi to mentally torture
Kakashi. Though it seems like three days to Kakashi, the torture
takes place in only a few seconds. Not able to handle the
mental pain, Kakashi falls into a coma.
Kakashi falls down, but Gai suddenly comes to help out. Being
Kakashi's rival for so many years, Gai has developed a method
of countering the Sharingan. Sensing that Gai could stall
them for too long, Itachi decides to leave.

Trivia
Kisame's ring means "south"
Itachi's ring means "scarlet"
Kisame's sword seems to be like a special sword. Unlike the
other known Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, Samehada actually
has a special ability to absorb chakra; the other swords do
nothing.
