Smallville Characters Season Six
This is a page of guest characters on the sixth season of
Smallville (2006-2007).
All that is known is that Brainiac, played by James Marsters,
will return for the season premiere, and it is speculated
that he may become a main cast member, which could be possible,
now that John Schneider's Jonathan Kent has recently passed
away. Fans have enjoyed Marsters' portrayal of Brainiac, which
supports the theory that he may still stay on. The two Kryptonian
soldiers of General Zod, Nam-Ek and Aethyr, who were introduced
in Smallville's fifth season premiere "Arrival,"
will be returning for this season, but the roles are currently
being recast, as both actors have moved onto different projects.
There are rumors that Zod will break away from possessing
Lex Luthor and gain a physical body of his own.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the creators and producers
of Smallville, have announced that Jimmy Olsen will be introduced
in the season premiere, played by Aaron Ashmore, but it is
unknown whether or not he will be a recurring character or
a main one. Aaron Ashmore's twin brother Shawn Ashmore had
guest-starred in 2 episodes of Smallville before. According
to sources, Olsen will be roughly around the same age as Clark
(a year or two younger) and has a crush on Chloe Sullivan.
Many are asking that Pete Ross return as a recurring character,
but so far, nothing concrete has been confirmed by the producers.
Gough has stated that Pete will return someday, as long as
they can find the right story to put him in. However, rumors
persist that Kyle Gallner and Lee Thompson will reprise their
roles as The Flash and Cyborg. Millar has stated that he would
love to work with Michael McKean again, who may return to
the show as Perry White.
Recent reports state that Green Arrow (a.k.a. Oliver Queen),
will appear in a story arc that could last at least seven
episodes. The plot involves him trying to assemble a group
of like minded individuals. The current name attached to this
character is Justin Hartley, who was formerly going to play
Aquaman in the same titled tv show, but the show was not picked
up, as of 2006. However, the creators of Smallville have said
the CW Network might pick up the show as a mid-season contender.
Hartley has revealed that he will play a character slightly
older than Clark, but he will be a friend and mentor to the
adolescent Man of Steel. He also stated that he would do a
Green Arrow spin-off, if he was asked to do so.
